We are thankful for the IN-MaC microgrant program for supporting the growth of our STEM program. We were able to purchase the updated @PLTWorg module called Energy Exploration with this grant. 🚧🛑9th St. in Clinton will be closing to start the 9th Street Project. 🛑🚧
This will be until approximately Nov 11, 2023.
This may impact some school bus routes/stops, pick up and drop-offs.
We will work to adjust the stops and maintain the times as much as possible.
This will affect the routes that travel 9th St, as well as the stops on 9th St. from Vine St. (NAPA) to Knowles St. (Gerrie's) for the remainder of this school year and most of the 1st semester next year.
If this closure impacts your child and their stop, their driver will inform them of the new stop location. Most of the affected students will be HS / MS students.

Two of our SVMS Robotics Teams competed at the Indiana Robotics Championship at Lucas Oil Stadium on March 25th: The Classy Goats (8th Graders) and The Nerd Herd (6th graders).
The Nerd Herd has earned a spot to compete in the World's Largest Robotics Competition in Dallas, Texas in May. They are our youngest group to ever compete at this level.
They qualified by earning the Create Award! This particular award is only presented to 2 Indiana middle school teams whose robot design incorporates a creative engineering solution to the design challenges of the season's game.
Help us congratulate the team and Coach Maria Sellers for another year of successful competition!

🍋Our STEMonade Stand family event was a huge success! The place was packed! Thank you to all the family members who supported our One School One Book project this year featuring the book The Lemonade War.
🍋Our mini-lemonade stand prototype winners were Kyndal Poynter (Gr.K at Central) with the Superintendent's Choice Award and Lyllian Bennett (Gr.3 at Central) with the SVHS Physics Students' Choice Award! All students who submitted entries will receive a participation prize very soon!
🍋For the Lemon Slice drawings, our winners were Natalie Knezevich of Van Duyn and Mia Robinson of Central.
📚Our elementary students enjoyed celebrating Read Across America Day with student readers from the middle school! What a thoughtful literacy family we have at SV! Thank you, Mrs. Joni McLain (SVMS Counselor), for organizing these school visits!
