January 9th is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. We are very grateful for all of our School Resource Officers (SROs) here at Van Duyn and throughout Vermillion County who keep our students and staff safe every day. Thank you to ALL law enforcement officers who go above and beyond for our community. We appreciate you!

Winter Break begins today at dismissal (2:35 p.m.). All of the staff at Van Duyn Elementary School wish our students and their families a safe and relaxing winter break and the happiest of holidays to everyone. Students will return to school on TUESDAY, January 9, 2024.
Our Winter Program is TONIGHT!
K-2 students will report to the following rooms no later than 5:15 PM. Kindergarten - room C-23. 1st grade - band room. 2nd grade - choir room. K-2 students will perform at 5:30 PM.
Students in grades 3-4 will report to the following rooms no later than 6:45 PM. 3rd grade - band room. 4th grade - choir room. Grades 3 and 4 will perform at 7:00 PM.
This Friday (12/22) is "SV Gives Back" Day. Students may bring $1 and wear a hat of any kind (with their pajamas). The proceeds will benefit KidKare.

The PTO candle fundraiser pickup is tomorrow (Thursday, December 14th) from 2:45 to 6:00 p.m. at the main entrance of the school. If you ordered candles from PBJ Candle Company, please be sure to pick them up during the allotted time. Thank you!
