Hoosier Helper Team: Deider Buffo, Lainy Gilman, Kaci HIll and Mason Ruble

Two South Vermillion Middle School teams presented in the CSforGood state finals at the Indiana Statehouse in Indianapolis on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The "Hoosier Helper" team focused on providing a safe online space for community members who need help to connect with people willing to offer their skills and services as volunteers.

SV Little Readers Team: Jesus Rivera Segoviano, and Sofia Montanez

The "SV Little Readers" team focused on providing an interactive, fun way to encourage early literacy by connecting older students and teachers with preschool students. The team brought home the first-place trophy in the middle school division. Over 60 team projects were submitted, and only 18 projects were invited to present at the Statehouse.
 

School Board News

The SV School Board held its regular meeting on November 17.


The School Board held an Executive Session on December 1. The next Regular Meeting will be on Monday, December 15 at 6:30 pm.
