Attention Bus 2 Families (who live within a few blocks east or west along St Rd 71 in St. Bernice)
Due to the shortage of bus drivers this year, the transportation department had to get creative. Bus 2 will be the transport bus from St. Bernice to Van Duyn. To ensure that your students get to school on time and in the safest manner possible, we will need your bus rider(s) to meet at an intersection on SR 71 each morning (this will also be the drop-off point as well) by 7:05 AM. The bus driver will only do pick up and drop off from St Rd 71. She will no longer drive the side streets in St. Bernice.
Please be patient during the first week of school as the driver will be working out some kinks on her route.
If you have any questions, please contact the Transportation Department at 765-832-2879.

The Indiana State Legislature recently passed Senate Enrolled Act (SEA) 282, regarding truancy policies in schools, in an effort to promote school attendance. Regular school attendance is important for the academic performance, social and emotional wellbeing, and future success of all students. Research shows that missing 10% of a school year can negatively impact a student's performance. Being absent just two or more days a month can lead to increased academic struggles compared to peers who are in attendance on a regular basis.
Please use this guide to help understand our elementary attendance policies. We hope to work together to increase student attendance and help all students reach their fullest potential.
