The Great Kindness Challenge starts in 10 days! We will participate in the Great Kindness Challenge the week of January 27-31st. See the flyer for details.


As a part of the Great Kindness Challenge, Van Duyn is accepting donations of kids' underwear and socks for students in hurricane-affected areas of North Carolina.

The Van Duyn PTO is sponsoring a father-daughter dance. The "Denim and Diamonds" dance will take place on Fri., Jan. 24th from 6:00-7:30 in the Van Duyn gym. The attached form was sent home on Jan. 9th. It is due with payment on Monday, January 20th. TICKETS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR! Please send your forms in by the deadline to attend!


Unless we have any other weather-related closings, next Tuesday, January 21st will be our 100th day of school. Teachers may be planning activities in their classrooms so be sure to watch for announcements.

Thursday, January 9th was Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. Our SRO, Officer Benton, read a book about police officers in our schools to our three kindergarten classes.


🏠Families: Please update your Residency Information under Online Registration in Harmony Family Access for each child enrolled in our district. You completed this form during fall enrollment. Federal guidelines require this form to be submitted a second time in January. Thank you for helping us keep our student records up-to-date.
