Hungry students come to eat. What they discovered was such a treat. Breakfast today brought squeals of delight, for they had not seen an elf at such height.
Central had a special visitor today. One of Santa's elves was on display. If you didn't find him have no sorrow, he will be hiding somewhere new tomorrow!
Central Elementary had the honor of being the SV board spotlight last night. Our Central Elementary Gardeners did an awesome job of presenting. A big thanks to Mrs. Bazzani and Mrs. McVeigh for sponsoring the club and all of their hard work. Great job representing Central!
Brendan Marez-Byrd, former Central student and recent graduate from the Air Force, surprised his brother at school today before heading out to his new station over seas. It was a wonderful moment to witness. Congratulations Brendan and thank you for your service!
Our top sellers from our recent school wide fundraiser had a VIP lunch at McDonald's yesterday. Everyone had a great time!
SVHS Cheer Team Winter Clinic
The South Vermillion Community School Corporation will host the "Wildcat Winter Wonderland", a community event, this Sunday evening, December 3rd, from 4:00 - 7:00 at South Vermillion High School. Parking will be on the south end of the main student parking lot on the east side of the high school. The SVMS and SVHS band, choir, and dance teams will be performing throughout the evening. There will be a variety of activities set up for the whole family: Santa Claus and a live reindeer will be available for pictures, s'more roasting, hot chocolate and pastries, a coloring tent hosted by The National Honor Society, and a variety of vendors will be set up as well. At the conclusion of the evening, we will light up the season with a tree lighting ceremony in front of the high school. The event is FREE, but donations will be accepted for our arts programs! We hope to see you there!
*If the weather does not cooperate, we will move the event inside.

Our Chief for the Day in November, Jase Swearingen, reported for duty yesterday! He was a wonderful representative for Central, and we had a great time having lunch at McDonald's and touring the police station and mayor's office.
Thanksgiving fun in Mrs. Pate's Kindergarten room. Before break the students learned about traditions and even had a Thanksgiving meal together!
Thank you Central Family! Central brought in the most goods corp. wide to earn the $500 from Pilson Automotive! 2nd grade also earned a pizza party as the class brought in the most items. S. council sponsors and students helped load and stock shelves at the Clinton pantry.
Central Spell Bowl team members competed at Sarah Scott Middle School last night. They did an awesome job of representing Central Elementary!

We are continuing in SV's participation in the PILSON Drive Away Hunger food drive November 6th-10th. All of the donated food items will be delivered to local food pantries on November 13th. There will be daily classroom contests to help promote the drive. Please help in this community endeavor before the holiday seasons if you are able. Central can win $500 if we collect the most food!!!

"Drive Away Hunger" sponsored by Pilson Automotive. Your child can bring in canned goods and give to his/her teacher. The grade with most items will win a Pizza Party. The school that collects the most will win a $500.00 donation. Items will be delivered to local food pantries.
