We have good news to share from our HVAC team!  The system is back up and running.  The building is cooling off as I write this, so we should be good for tomorrow.  We will see everyone starting at 7:30 on Thursday.

Good morning.  Central's HVAC system is currently down. Due to high temperatures in the building and high temperatures forecasted for today, we will be having an emergency eLearning day.  This is for Central Elementary only.  As students do not have their iPads at home, teachers will be sending out activities that can be done from home later this morning.  This will be done by email, class messenger systems, etc.  They will have office hours this afternoon that they can be contacted for assistance.  Grace will be given for those without electronics at home.

Dear Families, The Indiana State Legislature recently passed Senate Enrolled Act (SEA) 282, regarding truancy policies in schools, in an effort to promote school attendance.  Regular school attendance is important for the academic performance, social and emotional wellbeing, and future success of all students.  Research shows that missing 10% of a school year can negatively impact a student's performance.  Being absent just two or more days a month can lead to increased academic struggles compared to peers who are in attendance on a regular basis.   Please use the attached document guide to help understand our elementary attendance policies.  Overall, there were not many changes to the elementary attendance policy. We hope to work together to increase student attendance and help all students reach their fullest potential.
