Due to the inclement weather, the SVCS will be dismissing early today, Friday, February 16th. Elementary students will be dismissed at 12:30 p.m. and secondary students will be dismissed at 1:10 p.m. Please contact the school asap with any dismissal changes.

With the likelihood of inclement weather today, we wanted to communicate with all SVCS families the POSSIBILITY of an early dismissal. 🐾THE STORY PUPPY by Holly Webb is our 3rd Annual One School One Book title! Thanks to a grant from the United Way of the Wabash Valley, every student and staff member will be reading the same book this month!

☀️We had BIG FUN at the BIG SUN - ECLIPSE 101 presentation at Central Elementary this week! The Terre Haute Children's Museum is helping us all prepare for April 8th! What an informative presentation! The Big Sun is coming to SVMS on Feb. 22nd. #totaleclipse2024
Central 4th grade students did a wonderful job of representing our school at the recent Robotics Competition held at Parke Heritage Middle School this weekend. I loved watching them compete and strategize!

January Chief of the day, Harper Riley, reported for duty yesterday! She was a great representive for Central, she had lunch at McDonald's and toured the police station and mayor's office.
February is Dental Health Month!
***Did you know that children who have cavities in their baby teeth are 3 Xs more likely to develop cavities in their adult teeth?***
Seeing a dentist for regular checkups and brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste is recommended for all children and adults!
South Vermillion Schools will be closed today, Tuesday, 23rd due to the travel conditions of our Northern roads.

Fun day at Central! Merry Mia from Silly Safari visited with friends from the N. Pole. All students were able to learn about some different animals and see a live reindeer! Our students who purchased the VIP activity with their tokens got to pet and get their picture taken too.
Good golly Miss Molly an Elf on a dolly! To make such a mess with all that T.P. sure makes Rex and Mr. Williams very unhappy!
