We will be on an e-Learning day Friday, January 10th. This is due to the current conditions and the projected forecast. An email will be sent by 9am tomorrow morning with a doc of all the assignments and teacher contacts. It will be sent to students and parents/guardians. Staff will be available throughout the day during normal school hours to answer questions.
Thanks and stay safe!
Due to a number of our county roads still snow and ice-covered, we will be operating school on Thursday under a 2-hour delay to allow bus drivers daylight while transporting students to school.
🏠Families: Please update your Residency Information under Online Registration in Harmony Family Access for each child enrolled in our district. You completed this form during fall enrollment. Federal guidelines require this form to be submitted a second time in January. Thank you for helping us keep our student records up-to-date.
Due to the winter snowstorm, SVC Schools will be CLOSED on Tuesday. This will be a "Snow Day" and will be made up at the end of the school year. At this time, we are still under a travel "advisory" and many county roads remain snow-covered with limited access for bus routes. All school activities for Tuesday are also canceled for Tuesday.
The first semester report card will be available for view on Wednesday January 8th.
Good afternoon! Due to the recently issued Winter Weather Advisory by the National Weather Service for this evening, there will be no after-school or evening activities. This includes all practices and scheduled events. Be safe!

Please see the attached info for the SV Summer Lunch Program
The state of Indiana recently announced a new summer food program called SUN Bucks, which helps families in need buy food during the summer when school is out.
Children are eligible for the program if:
✔️The household already participates in SNAP, TANF, or income-based Medicaid, or
✔️The student has been identified as a ward of the state (foster child), homeless, migrant, or
✔️The student lives in a home where the household income meets the free or reduced-price school meals requirements.
The benefits will be provided to eligible families on a separate EBT card and mailed directly to their homes. Benefits can be used at authorized retailers, like grocery stores and farmers' markets, to purchase healthy foods, such as fruits, vegetables, meats, and other protein sources, whole grains, and dairy. These benefits are available in addition to free meals that children of all ages can get at our summer meals program.
Children identified as receiving free/reduced meals will automatically receive SUN Bucks cards, which will be mailed to the address we have on file for your household. To review or update your address, please log in to Harmony Family Access and verify your address. You can update your address on Harmony or contact your child’s school for assistance. Address corrections must be made before Wednesday, May 1, to guarantee that cards are sent to the correct address.
If your child is not already eligible for free/reduced meals but you would like to check eligibility, you can do so on the SUN Bucks website (https://indianasunbucks.com/home).
For questions, please contact our Food Service Director, Amanda Myers, at [email protected].
This is no joke! Did you know that Vermillion County has several walking trails available to the public? SV's Wellness Committee encourages you to go check them out! https://5il.co/2h9s9
