An eighth grade team from South Vermilion Middle School competed in the Indiana CSforGood Finals at the Indiana State House on December 6, 2023. Braxton Idlewine, Britain Sisk, and Colton Minnett, presented their AI based project focused on identifying, locating, and mapping Asian Carp in the Wabash River. Their ultimate goal is to collaborate with the DNR to find a way to decrease the population of the Asian Carp to improve the ecosystem of our rivers. Britain, Colton, and Braxton earned first place in the finals. Congratulations to these Wildcats! Excellent job!
