Central 1st graders had a great time on their walking field trip yesterday!
Congratulations to the Central Staff!! They successfully took on the Central student champion dodgeball team and runner up in front of the whole school. The students put up a valiant effort, but the staff did come out on top. Great sportsmanship on both sides!
What an awesome way to start our day today! It was wonderful to see so many guests in the building for our grandparent breakfast for students with last names A-K. Friday will be for students with last names L-Z. Thank you PTO for sponsoring!

Thank you to everyone with your support for the food drive! We raised over 3000 items!!!! A special thanks to our student council who helped organize the drive and deliver the food to the pantry to help restock their shelves after Easter.

Grandparent's Day is back!! PTO will be sponsoring a grandparent's breakfast the week of May 9th. Sign up forms will be going home with students later this week. A "Grandperson" is also welcome to attend if a grandparent is not available. Hope to see you there!
This morning we had a report of smoke in an unoccupied classroom. Upon immediate inspection, it was determined to evacuate the building under our fire drill procedures. Students did a great job during this time. The fire department provided the all clear to return to class.
The state required ILEARN testing begins tomorrow for students in grades 3-5. It will conclude mid next week. Please help your student be successful by seeing that they get a good night's rest, breakfast(still free at school!!), and are here and on time. Thank you!

Central will be joining SVCS this Friday, April 22 in a pajama day to help support an SVCS employee's family. Her son has been diagnosed with leukemia and most recently has been hospitalized for 7 weeks.
Students and staff who want to wear pajamas can donate $1 this Friday.
