Attendance is of utmost importance. Our school-wide yearly goal is 96.5%, which is in line with the state average. If students are NOT at school, they cannot learn.

However, if your kiddo(s) is feeling ill (please follow Mrs. Hoover's protocols in the Student Handbook), please keep him/her at home. As much as all of the staff at Ernie Pyle want to see all of our Trojans each day, we do not want them to come when they are sick.

If your child is ill, please call the office and report the absence on the attendance voicemail line before 9:00 am. Please be sure to leave a detailed reason for the absence along with your child's name and grade.
